motion 5 and moving templates to external hard drive

I have a video project created in fcp. I used motion 5 for a text template within fcp. I need to move this to an external hard drive for a client. I consolidated and moved the fcp files to the external hd, but the template didn't come over. Just the red screen with exclamation point. I'm assuming this is a linking issue somehow but have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to get all the text back. Any thoughts? Thanks.
